Finally the golfing god’s were on our side and we were greeted with blue skies on Thursday for the first time in 3 attempt. It was great to see all the ladies returning with big smiles as they headed out on course. As the scores were tallied the ladies sat down to a sumptuous 2 course meal and a nice cold glass of champagne. On the 4^th of March 2012 The Glades attended Your Local Wedding Guide Bridal Expo at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach. It was an early start to the day to make sure our booth was set up in time for the brides, grooms, parents, friends and other family that were dragged along but it was well worth it as all seemed very impressed. It was a very busy start to the day with most groups squeezing in between prams and people to get through but by early afternoon it had eased. Highlights of the day were the photo booths, bridal fashion shows and cake tasting, somthing not easy for all exhibitors to resist but somehow we managed! The team here at The Glades had an extremely successful day and look forward to seeing those brides to be married out at our great venue. Read More

The first Girls of the Glades event has been run and won once again in testing weather conditions. Just 2 holes into the day the torrential rain began and really did not ease up all day. A credit to everyone for persisting, with some exceptional scores recorded. Following golf the ladies were greeted with a nice glass of champagne and 2 course meal. A big thank you must go to Michelle Plunkett from Fascino Collection for your support of the event and I know the ladies were impressed with some of the fashion on display. Read More
