Finally the golfing god’s were on our side and we were greeted with blue skies on Thursday for the first time in 3 attempt. It was great to see all the ladies returning with big smiles as they headed out on course. As the scores were tallied the ladies sat down to a sumptuous 2 course meal and a nice cold glass of champagne. The first Girls of the Glades event has been run and won once again in testing weather conditions. Just 2 holes into the day the torrential rain began and really did not ease up all day. A credit to everyone for persisting, with some exceptional scores recorded. Following golf the ladies were greeted with a nice glass of champagne and 2 course meal. The event was a sell out with everyone excited for a great day of golf and delicious Christmas Lunch to finish of what has been a great year. Who would have thought we would wake up to torrential rain. Unfortunately the golf had to be cancelled but I would like to thank those who returned to help us eat all the food. It was a wonderful afternoon with plenty of prizes given.
